FLO VITAMINS SAYS: F**K PMS

FLOO.jpg

Meet Bobby Bitton. He and his sister Brianna are on to something, well, huge. Meet FLO Vitamins: A revolutionary first-to-market gummy vitamin, that’s not only delicious, but it f**cking works. They swear that this ritual will lead to the end of your PMS.

Get e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g you need (and want) to know about FLO by reading along. Yes, Babe!

HI, WHO ARE YOU?

My name is Bobby Bitton, I’m the CEO and Co-Founder of FLO Vitamins.

OK, COOL. SO. FLO IS STARTING TO POP UP ALL OVER MY INSTAGRAM FEED. WHAT IS IT?

FLO is the first ever PMS Gummy Vitamin. Founded alongside my sister and best friend, because PMS F*cking sucks and we want to make it suck less. FLO is a vegan, gluten free, non-GMO gummy vitamin that is designed to help fight the worst PMS symptoms; Cramping, bloating, mood swings, and hormonal acne.

BUT.. WHAT IS inside IT? AND WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH GUMMY VITAMINS?

FLO is made up of 3 main botanicals Chasteberry, Dong Qaui, Lemon Balm, and some Vitamin B6. After over a year and a half of research and working with top nutraceutical chemists we landed on these powerhouses. They each have their own exciting research and serious results behind them. Dong Quai is an all star against cramps, B6 is the ultimate mood booster, and Chasteberry is the all around PMS MVP sending pretty much all symptoms packing. We chose to make FLO a gummy vitamin for the simple reason that we hated taking big smelly pills, I need legit a full glass of water every time I take Advil. We also wanted to make fighting PMS easy and fun, turning something historically negative into a positive.

HOW THE HECK DID YOU COME UP WITH THIS CONCEPT? (YOU’RE A BOY, AFTER ALL).

I know, I know--I’m a dude. And like most dudes, PMS and periods aren’t my forte. Which, when you stop to think about it, is kind of a shame. Half of the world’s population has periods. But FLO is definitely a family affair, my mom and sister expressed what an issue PMS is and how there was a gap in the market for a fun solution. I know I’ll never be able to understand what PMS is actually like. But that isn’t going to stop me from listening, learning, and trying to find a solution to the problem that is PMS.

THE BOTTLES (AND GUMMIES INSIDE) ARE So. Pretty. AND TASTY. OH, AND ALL OF YOUR CONTENT IS FREAKING LINED UP. HOW DID YOU LAND ON THE BRANDING + PACKAGING YOU’RE WORKING WITH TODAY?

It definitely took a village, I am surrounded by some truly talented people. The fun thing about starting your own company is having the opportunity to bring in all your talented friends. Brianna and I knew from the beginning that we wanted FLO to be unapologetically female, stripped down, no-makeup-at-home-in-your-pj’s, not giving a f*ck attitude. So we set our sights on finding some all star women to help us bring our vision to life. With the combined talents of Candace Kim, Eunice Chun, and Femme Cre8tive, we had the dream team of visual and verbal! Working closely with Eunice we developed a thoughtful mix of strong design elements with a playful tone that didn't take itself too seriously. Candace took what was in Brianna and my head and put it into words, she gave FLO her own personality. Femme Cre8tive brought their trademark feminine edge to our photoshoots, helping us convey our personality through our content.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR HER TO help me?

FLO works right away, but we recommend giving it a full two cycles to feel the full effects.

WHY WILL THIS CHANGE MY EXPERIENCES IN 2019? DO YOU HAVE GALS WHO CAN VOUCH FOR THIS?

HELL YEAH! We like to focus on “taking your week back”! We want FLO to give women power not to be slowed down by PMS, but instead go out and take the world by storm and not worry about the inconvenience of pain. We spent over a year on R&D, and are lucky enough to have an amazing community of early adopters (FLO Babes) that have tried and loved FLO. So yes, PMS is SO 2018.

IS IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO APPLY TO BECOME A FLO BABE?

No application needed, everyone who wants to solve the problem of PMS is already part of the family! FLO is more than a product, it’s a community of women who encourage each other to talk about topics that were previously taboo. We want to help further a generation that is open talking about PMS, Periods, and help bring about change from emotional support to charity reach out.

IS THIS A GOOD GIFT? WHERE DO I BUY if I WANNA STOP SOBBING OVER CRAMPS AND ACNE EVERY MONTH? WHY IS THIS DIFFERENT THAN OTHER SH*T I’VE TRIED?

how i will write about writing in 2019

I’ve been asked to write something that will inspire other creative types as they enter a new year. Something about what keeps me creative. My resolutions. This is how I quickly learn why writers dread writing. The truth is that my resolutions every year are the same: Read, write, ride. That’s all, every year.

Let me guide you through my marketing mistakes so you can learn from them and, hopefully, help you make stronger marketing resolutions in 2019.

FINDINGS

GOING INTO 2019, FAMOUS MEN DOUBLE DOWN ON DISAPPOINTING US

There were a lot of terrible things that happened in 2018, but one positive that came out of the year was the growing conversation around, and acknowledgement of, sexual harassment in many areas of our culture.

opinion: groundhog day branding

This seems familiar...bold accent colors, gradient pastels, ironic fonts, minimalistic logos. In the past few months, it seems like every ad I'm being fed on Instagram is for a new D2C millennial focused brand with these design blueprints.
